UNIBEN fixes new date for Post UTME, announces strict guidelines

- The University of Benini (UNIBEN) has fixed a new date for the Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) - The examination which was earlier scheduled by the institution for September 14 had been moved to a new date - The institution also announced strict guidelines for picking candidates allowed to take the screening exam The management of UNIBEN has announced that the 2017 Post-UTME admission screening earlier scheduled for September 14 to 25 will now hold from September 28 to October 10. Otasowie Oshodin, the registrar of the institution, announced this new date on Friday, September 22 in Benin. According to Premium Times, the screening will hold in designated centres within the Ugbowo campus of the university and all candidates will take the test using the Computer Based Test mode.

A female lawyer, Elizabeth Agboje, who allegedly tortured her adopted daughter, was among some suspects paraded on Wednesday at the Rivers State Police Command in Port Harcourt. It was gathered that Agboje’s victim, a nine-year-old Miss Bright Maxson, was first tagged a witch before she was reportedly tortured by her foster mother. The lawyer, who has two biological children, was said to have continually subjected the girl to degrading treatment without minding the implication.
